Description
7 Channel Mixer MX-7 Passive 7-Channel VHF Separator-Combiner
Manufactured by Pico Macom. Brand new.
The Pico Macom MX-7 signal splitter/combiner is a low-loss 7-channel mixing network, an extremely cost-effective splitting or combining solution for smaller MATV and SMATV systems. The user-friendly, compact design makes installation easy, and individual channel tuning plus attenuator controls give accurate, quick setup or reconfiguration, reducing system downtime.
Used as a separator, the MX-7 significantly reduces system harmonics when placed ahead of a series of Pico Macom’s XBS single-channel strip amplifiers or signal processors. Used as a combiner, it’s the ideal filtration system for combining outputs from channel-specific VHF antennas before insertion into a cable system via Pico Macom’s TA52.
- Minimum frequency: 54 MHz
- Maximum frequency: 216 MHz
- Impedance: 75 Ohm
Operation:
- Connect the cable from a VHF broadband antenna to the common connection of the MX-7.
- Connect a cable from the MX-7 single-channel outputs to channelized amplifiers or the combining system.
- Connect a signal level meter to the headend common test point.
